JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – We hear about contractor fraud happening in our community daily. It’s the most common complaint sent to the I-TEAM.

From pool contractors, and tree trimmers, to custom home builders and roofers, we’ve seen a lot go wrong.

In February, State Attorney R.J. Larizza said contractor fraud is happening more often and becoming a “disturbing trend” in the state.

There’s no shortage of headlines about Florida homeowners being defrauded and in most cases, there’s little to no recourse for the contractors behind the schemes.
