Rob Sweeting has been an anchor and reporter for The Local Station since 1985. He co-anchors Channel 4 News at 5:30 p.m., Channel 4 News at 6:30 p.m. and Channel 4 News at 11 p.m. on weeknights.

He has served as reporter for a number of WJXT's prime time documentaries, including "Jacksonville's Roads: The Deadly Drive Home," winner of the Alfred I. Dupont Columbia Award for Excellence in Journalism, and "Execution In The Sun."

Rob came to WJXT from the ABC affiliate, WSB-TV, in Atlanta, where he served as a reporter and anchor. Earlier, he worked as a reporter at WSVN, the NBC affiliate in Miami, and WTVT in Tampa, Fla.

Rob is a Miami native and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton.

Rob and his wife, Millicent, live in Fernandina Beach. He has a step-daughter, Leauna and two sons, Ryan and Ian.
