The community is reacting as deputies continue to search for this man accused of groping two young girls at a Clay County WalMart. 3 Parents ..frightened for their kids .. as tips are coming into police who are trying to find the man you just saw in that surveillance photo. Two junior high school age girls told police he touched them in appropriately day before yesterday .. at the Walmart Supercenter on the corner of Blanding Boulevard and Brananfield Road in Middleburg. Channel 4's Vic Micolucci has been talking to the sheriff office .. and to people concerned about the wanted man is still on the loose ....Vic is joining us now from the Sheriff's Office in Green Cove Springs. 3 3 3 Detectives say since the story aired yesterday, they've gotten a lot of good leads. They're out and about trying to catch this guy...and they hope they can get him soon...before he strikes again. 3 00-0615-191'11-1'161'28-1'37 It's generally a quiet place...people here tell me...where crime isn't a big issue...and families usually feel safe. But this man and what two girls say he did ...are making people uneasy. 41:29 I'm concerned about those little girls. And even boys! Deputies say the 5-foot-2 inch, 225 pound Hispanic man seen in this surveillance video groped two middle-school girls...and even lifted one child's shirt...and kissed her on the abdomen. This came AFTER he invited them to his house, offering them "ice cream, pizza and movies." The girls got away unharmed...but so did the unknown man...Similar things have happened at area Walmarts...last year Steven Sours was convicted for groping a 13-year-old girl at a Walmart in East Arlington. He was given 5 years probabtion and must register as a sex offender. In 2004, Jason Brackett grabbed a 9-year-old at a Fleming Island Walmart ...he was convicted and sentenced to 8 years in prison and 15 years probation because he was already a sex offender.39:29 I think that it's terrible that you can't even go into a store and let your kids just be looking at something even when they are teenagers, without some man wanting to grab them. It's a danger this 15-year-old takes seriously... telling us she's always keeping an eye out... 42:45 my mom has always taught me to never go anywhere alone. To always stay in a group. So I usually stay in a group, I don't go anywhere without my friends. A Walmart official says employees continue to cooperate with investigators as they try to find this man. We've heard he was also spotted at a Walmart on Jacksonville's westside...but there's no reason to believe he committed any crimes there. 42:45 my mom has always 3 QUESTION: What about the parents of the girls .. were they also in the store at the time?ANSWER: Yes, detectrives say a parent was just a few aisles away. The girls told them about what happened...and they told store security and the sheriff's office.
