3 Since Channel 4 uncovered around two-thousand bodies may have been improperly buried at Restlawn Cemetery on the northside....numerous families have contacted us with their own personal horror stories. Channel 4's Scott Johnson talked to one mother who says her son was buried beneath a road in the cemetery and she had no idea until now. 3 she thought the road he was under was just part of an expansion... and now she's learning his body may have to be dug up and re-buried. In 2012 this northside woman's life was devastated when her son was murdered ... and she asked me to keep her identity hidden because his killer has yet to be caught./SON BURIED IN RESTLAWN CEMETERY 22:441:52 - it's just sad to find out that my son wasn't buried properly when he was buried in a proper cemetery.as tragic as it was for her family to lay this young man to rest ... now she's living the horror all over again, ever since she heard his body needs to be dug up again.22:42:30 - 'this is re-opening and old wound.' that's exactly what they are doing and my family and I have been really struggling with his death. And then for this to happen again. It's like somebody don't care about family or loved ones or... what if it was their loved one. she says he r murdered son was buried under a road at the cemetery... and at the time she thought this sandy road was just part of an expansion. she had no idea what was actually happening.22:44:18 - I never could understand when I used to go out there and I would see tire tracks and I just thought it was people being disrespectful This man's body is one of around 2,000 that channel 4 has discovered were improperly buried in the cemetery. T he new owner tells us that since he's taken over he's been inundated with calls from grieving families...he says they're doing everything they can to fix the problems left over by previous owners. MARK RIPOSTA/NEW RESTLAWN CEMETERY OWNER 13:38:18 - everything can't be fixed, but for everything that can we can make some sort of logical reasonable adjustment so that the deceased loved ones have their needs met. So now this woman says the cemetery has given her two options ... either let them dig up her son's body and move him to a different part of the cemetery or a different cemetery altogether . Or he would remain where they're building a new road on top of him. Scott, when you were out at the cemetery tonight did you notice much activity from workers? Or was it pretty quiet?
