TRACIE CARR/RENTERS 22:18:14-23 The second they hear pit bull or German Shephard it's just so frustrating most of the time people will say oh thank you we've gone with somebody else or oh no the house has been rented.Bella and Raja are both restricted breed dogs, like put bulls, huskies, Rottweilers and other breeds many landlord often shy away from. With no success in Pennsylvania, The Carr's started searching in Jacksonville.Friends connected them to the people who own this house and only rent to people who have big dogs. TRACIE CARR/RENTER 22:19:11-14 It's a relief. I wish there were more people out there like them out there.) BRYAN CARR/RENTER 22:21:06-15 Oh it was great. It was great. I was definitely relieved because we were kind of coming down to the wire to find a place to live and it just happened the right way I guess. The homeowners Jade and Greg Rouzeau know what the Carr's and other big dog owners go through. They have two pit bulls.Thats why the craigslist ad for the home is loud and clear ...RESPONSIBLE RENTERS WITH LARGE DOGS A MUST.JADE ROUZEAU/HOMEOWNER "PHONER SOT WHEN SHE CALLS" TAKE NAT: 22:19:43-48 It's just been nice. The nice. The neighborhoods been nice it's been quiet it's just really been nice to know that we were welcomed.Welcomed to a home AND a community already used to the owners big dogs. Gary St. John says there hasn't been any issues so far, and he's open minded about the idea of more big dogs as neighbors.GARY ST. JOHN/NEIGHBO R 22:29:13-23 As long as they're maintained it's not a problem it's just like my dog I've got a dog and if I don't maintain the dog then the neighbors would have a problem. An unexpected welcome, one the Carr's hope other homeowners would be open to.BRYAN CARR/RENTER 22:20:20-29 Maybe go meet the dog that's coming in the house because as you guys saw our pit bull she's not going to hurt a fly. 27 so I think that would go a long way.KUMASI AARON/MANDARIN 22:26:53 So the home will be available in August the Carrs have decided to move. Going forward they say they plan to buy a house for themselves and for their dogs because quite frankly they said they don't expect to have the same kind of good fortune again. In mandarin Kumasi Aaron C4TLS. 3 KUMASI AARON/MANDA 3 So has the owner actually turned down people who don't have big dogs?KUMASI ANSWER: Yes she told me she has.She says she simply explains to them why she and her husband came to the decision and she says they have been understanding.
