Every minute of every day someone, somewhere is thinking about a way that they can deceive you and rob you of all of your money.
They won't stick a gun to your head, they won't snatch your purse, nor will they break into your homes. These type of thieves are known as scam artists. Their sole objective is to mesmerize and brain wash you into thinking that your are getting some type of deal that sounds too good to be true, or they will frighten you into divulging personal information so that they may bilk you out of your life savings.
One example is if you receive an email claiming that you have won some type of lottery in another country, go no further THIS IS A SCAM!. If you get a phone call from someone pressuring you for personal information under the pretenses of being a law enforcement agency or any other agency DO NOT give them any information, hang up immediately THIS IS A SCAM!
If you have parents or grandparents or any relatives that are up in age you need to bring this conversation up to see if they have been scammed or if someone tried to scam them. Oftentimes seniors will shy away from the conversation because they are embarrassed to tell you that they've been had. Scam artists typically will prey on seniors because of their vulnerability and carefree thinking.
Remember, you have worked hard to obtain all of the things you now possess. Work hard at keeping them.
