Michael Kelly is the weekend sports anchor at Channel 4. He joined The Local Station team in June 2012.
Michael arrived at WJXT after a two-year stint as a sports reporter at WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge.
He's no stranger to the SEC. Michael covered a lot of LSU, including the 2011 national championship game in New Orleans. Prior to that, he spent two years at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Miss., as a sports reporter/anchor.
In fact, Michael covered Jaguar starting quarterback Blaine Gabbert at the University of Missouri for one season.
Michael is a native of Mandeville, Louisiana, just 25 minutes north of New Orleans. He is a proud graduate of the University of Missouri and welcomes the Tigers' addition to the SEC.
In his spare time, Michael enjoys writing and playing basketball. He is a storyteller at heart.
