Parents in a northwest Jacksonville neighborhood are keeping a close eye on their children tonight ... An early morning shooting leaves a teenager fighting for his life. 3 Good evening. Family and friends of 18-year-old Darryl Arnold are praying for his recovery. The teenager remains in the hospital after he was shot in the head, while riding home on his bike. It happened just before 2 this morning on Spires Avenue, near 27th Street in Moncrief Park. Tonight - police are still searching for the shooter. Channel 4's Kumasi Aaron joins us now LIVE from UF Health Jacksonville where Arnold and his family have been all day long... Because police haven't made any arrests... what are they telling people in that neighborhood to do? Do they have any warnings for them? I talked to crime and safety analyst Ken Jefferson. He said if you don't have to be out that time don't.He says the chances of becoming victim if a crime are higher if you are out late at night.Make sure you stay in contact with someone so they know where you are at all times Always be cognizant of surrounding and if you sense something wrong follow your instinct.
