Heather? 3 3 They told me they don't want these kids to get in trouble...they just want the vandalism to stop! This is some of the owner's security video. They told me they're afraid that these kids could hurt themselves which is something they don't want to see happen...that's why they hope the parents of these kids are watching tonight... 3 00-0612-1723-3047-53Broken windows...busted doors... sprinklers ripped from the ground... that's just a few things these 3 kids decided to do last Sunday afternoon at a business complex off Sunbeam Road.SOT: Omar Kandah - Owner of building - "It's not a significant amount of damage but it's enough to hurt your wallet."Kandah, the owner of the building... says he's got cameras all around the building..SOT: Vlad Gusev, Tax Professional for Sunbeam Income Tax, "The camera is primarily a deterrent. We're not trying to catch people in the act, what were trying to do is for them to see the camera, see the security features and immediately be deterred by that and leave. That's the ideal situation."But that didn't stop this group of kids...you can see them here in this security footage, scoping out the back of the building... They went in through this window... once they were inside...they began kicking in doors... one of the kids even had his friend help him... Heather S/U: Once the kids realized they were on camera, they attempted to break it.The successfully broke the glass, but even still that recorded video was already on a hard drive."You can also see, one of the kids jumped on top of the AC unit behind the building...Kandah says that is one of the things that scared him the most.SOT: Omar Kandah - Owner of building "They cane get hurt! If you can see the video, their jumping on top of the AC whatever it is, compressor, whatever, they're jumping off it, that thing breaks, it's going to cut you. Or if you fall off and break your hands on the windows so, its bad for both sides."And if these kids parents are watching ... Kandah has one message for them...SOT: Omar Kandah - Owner of building "Please stop. Just quit. We're hurting here, the economy is pretty bad, we're all trying to make money here, we're running a business, it's costing real people real money. We can't afford to keep having issues with vandalism going on around here. 3 The owners say if you know who these kids are... you're urged to call crime stoppers at 1-866-845-TIPS. You can remain anonymous. 3 Heather, with surveillance cameras set up -- have the owners ever experienced vandalism like this before?HEATHER: Yea, actually they said that it has happened a few times because the building has been under construction... and looks like no one's there... but he says this is the first time these kids have vandalized it.
