If you're a regular at The Players ... You may go strictly for the golf. You WON'T turn away when you see some of the upgrades. Fans poured onto the golf course, for Day One of the tournament... and were pleasantly surprised. The TASTE OF JAX area is just one improvement. It's made room for new businesses like Metro Diner and Indochine. But that's not the only upgrade. Channel 4's Chris Parenteau joins us now live from the Players, to tell us what's new for the fans. Chris? 3 3 3 00-0515-201:19-1:24When you go to a golf tournament, you can only be in one place at any given time, meaning there is a lot of action on the course that you are missing. With a new device at the Players this year for the first time, that is no longer true.SOT Kevin Weinhoeft - Fanvision You want to come to the course.You want to experience what is happening at The Players. You want to see the golfers and be a part of that environment. And the fanvision device in your hands makes that all possible. VO From looking at live stats to seeing twitter updates from golfers and the tournament, to even checking out the forecast, there isn't much this device can't do. But being able to see live action on any hole is what fans like most. SOT Fans just loved it, they take gallery position, and they are there all day long. With this, they follow everything. VO Fanvision has been used in recent years at NASCAR races and made it s golf debut at the Ryder Cup last fall. So far, the response has been great. SOT The buzz that's been happening over the last couple weeks as fans heard this was going to be here was great. VO Another addition to the Players this year, more cooling benches. Last year, there were 4, this year, there are 18. And with temperatures getting close to 90 as the week goes on, those benches will be a big hit.
