After more than a decade on The Morning Show, Nikki is 'almost' used to waking up so early in the morning. Even though the alarm goes off before the sun comes up, she truly loves being one of the first faces you see every day and her goal is to get your day started with a smile. In addition to her Morning Show anchoring duties, she is also the sideline reporter for the Jacksonville Jaguars preseason games.
Nikki has always been thrilled to be working at WJXT, the station that she says inspired her to get into broadcast journalism. She has hometown ties to Jacksonville. Her parents, aunts, uncles and a bunch of cousins live all over the area.
Nikki has received numerous awards related to her job, but is most proud of the ones voted on by the viewers.
She is a proud graduate of Troy State University and loves to volunteer. Nikki serves on the board of several local charities including Blessings In A Backpack and The Cattyshack Ranch.
Nikki and her husband created an all-purpose seasoning called Martha's Mix, in honor of her mother-in-law. They give all of the profits from the product to help feed children in our area and in Pollocksville, North Carolina, where Martha was a pastor.
Nikki is also active with the Jacksonville Humane Society, Susan G. Komen Foundation, American Cancer Society, ElderSource and CHILD Cancer Fund, among others. As a result, she was named to the 2015 panel of Legacy of Leaders, a celebration of positive leadership in the greater Jacksonville community.
Nikki, her husband and son (and even their two Pomeranians) love calling the First Coast their home.
