Another officer stopped a vehicle leaving Clipper Court, and when he approached the vehicle, the driver appeared to be sweating and breathing hard, police said.

That driver answered questions and admitted that items found in his vehicle were stolen from several vehicles that were left open by residents, police said.

Police said the neighborhood on Lee Drive appeared to be targeted due to open garages and unlocked vehicles.

Officers said they later saw two people matching the description of the earlier suspects walking in the area where the burglaries had occurred.

Those two men were taken in and all three suspects were arrested on charges of residential burglary, burglary to a structure or conveyance, possession of burglary tools, petit theft and resisting without violence.

The three suspects were identified as Quentin Peterson, 19, Matthew Shenett, 21, and Robert Clark.
