JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Salon San Marco is getting some national attention.
It has been voted into a Project Runway-styled competition in Las Vegas called Battle of the Strands, which is all about the hot lights, glamor and glitz, and of course, hair and makeup.
Salon San Marco is one of 12 finalists nationally in this year's competition. It had to submit a video of its work, and the public had to vote.
The team is headed to Vegas on Oct. 17, all expenses paid. The ultimate prize is a secret, but that's just a minor detail to the women involved.
"But really being flown to Vegas, I think the glory of it, we've already won. It's a huge prize," hair stylist Tina Krinhop said.
