People in California drove more than 84 billion miles on the state's highways in 2011 -- more than 900 times the distance from the Earth to the Sun.

The Federal Highway Administration has released a new report on the nation's busiest interstates. Among other things, it shows that people in California -- the state with the busiest highways -- drove more than 84.7 billion miles in 2011.
