JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – There were scores of people out Saturday night getting their last-minute shopping done. To the surprise of many, the parking lots were full but the struggle to find a spot wasn’t as daunting as anticipated.
Crowds were everywhere at the St. Johns Town Center as people got their last-minute shopping done. News4Jax spoke with some people who said this is a great time to get the best deals.

“We're going to go home tonight and start the Christmas meal early,” Lena Lundy said. “We were just catching some last-minute deals, but the shopping is done.”
Others said they procrastinated and had to come out at the last minute.
“Our procrastination comes with the benefit that sometimes there are really good deals,” Sanjana Murthy said. “But we definitely don't do it for the deals.”
One couple said their shopping was already done, but wanted to be out and about to get into the holiday spirit, so they chose the mall.
