JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Blue Ridge Beef of Eatonton, Georgia has announced a voluntary recall of two of its frozen products due to their potential to be contaminated with Salmonella and/or Listeria.
The affected products are sold in 2 lb chubs (above) and can be identified with the following manufacturing codes:

The recall affects consumers in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Texas.
Healthy people can be infected with Salmonella or Listeria, even from just handling contaminated food. People are advised to monitor themselves for the following symptoms:
- Nausea
- Vomiting
- Diarrhea
- Bloody Diarrhea
- Abdominal Cramping
- Fever
Anyone with these symptoms after handling the pet food is advised to reach out to a doctor immediately.
If you find you have one of the affected items, you're advised to take it back to the store you purchased it from for a full refund.
So far two kitten illnesses have been reported as well as long dog death.
