Family, friends and students are mourning the loss of a veteran high school teacher from the Northside.
Ms. Linda Ghanayem, who had taught at Ribault High School for more than four decades, died this week.

Students and staff placed flowers and candles in a tribute outside the doors of her chemistry classroom.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's Catholic Church on Park Street in Riverside. The viewing will be from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Hardage-Giddens Funeral Home on Hendricks Avenue.
The principal and grief counselors met with students and were available to the school as needed.
