Christian Bale views finished film for first time

One of the most anticipated films of the year held its' premiere in New York on Monday.
Anne Hathaway, Christian Bale, and Morgan Freeman all came out for their new flick and the third installment of the Batman series, "The Dark Knight Rises".
Other celebrities packed the carpet as well, but both Hathaway and Bale, who play Catwoman and Batman, couldn't wait to talk up this flick.

(Christian Bale) "No, I mean. I don't really want to get into the contracts too much. But it was a thing where they said, we want three, right from the get-go for me. Chris wasn't signed up for that, there was no assurance that was going to happen. But if we were lucky enough to do that, no, they said, we need you to commit to three from the get-go. But you know, Chris had always said to me, wisely, let's never make any assumptions about that, let's only assume that we can make one movie at a time."
(Anne Hathaway)"It was a challenge, it was a very big challenge. I had to transform just about everything about myself. I hadn't done athletics in a really long time. But I was given a lot of support and time to do all that, so it felt alright."
