The Collings Foundation's
Wings of Freedom Tour lands two of the most important aircraft of WWII, the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and the North American B-25 Mitchell at the Cecil Field Airport Friday through Monday. The airplanes are accurately restored with the original instruments, gun positions and equipment. A donation of $7 for adults and $3 for children to tour the aircrafts is requested to see the planes, and people can actually go on an actual mission aboard the B-17 or the B-25 for a donation of $300 to $400. Leon Redbone performs 8 p.m. on Friday at Florida Theatre, 128 E. Forsyth St.. A modern-day vaudevillian, Redbone recently contributed songs to the Christmas movie "Elf," starring Will Ferrell and James Caan. Redbone¹s songs at once parody and pay tribute to the ragtime, blues and folk traditions of the '30s and '40s. Tickets are $25 and are available through the theater box office at 355-2787.
Vocal ensemble Five By Design presents
Club Swing a musical documenting the fictional demise of the eponymous night club at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Saturday and Sunday in the Wilson Center for the Arts at FCCJ¹s South Campus, 11901 Beach Blvd. The costumes are vintage, the stage art deco and the orchestra is part of the show. "Club Swing" covers tunes from Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Woody Herman, Artie Shaw and others. Tickets are $32.50.
The Greatest Show on Earth is bringing the
Science of the Circus to the Museum of Science and History from 10 a.m. until noon Saturday. This special performance allows visitors to see many of the laws and principles of physics brought to life only at the circus. Members of the audience can try their hands at scarf juggling, working with bubbles, balancing acts and much more. The Jacksonville Humane Society is sprucing up for Super Bowl visitors including the creation of a
Wags of Welcome 
mural on the side of its thrift store to be visible to Beach Boulevard motorists. The artist, Yvonne Lozano, will complete the project Saturday, and she's inviting all artists to help complete the mural with the theme "Respecting All Life."

The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra hooks up with vocalist Randy Jackson (Zebra) and guest conductor/arranger Brent Havens to perform the
Music of Pink Floyd at 8 p.m. Saturday in the Moran Theater at the Times-Union Center for the Performing Arts, 300 W. Water St. The program includes pieces from Floyd classics "Dark Side of the Moon" and "The Wall." Havens has also arranged music for classical tributes to Led Zeppelin and The Doors.
