The Superstorm Sandy telethon successfully raised $23 million for victims of the natural disaster.

The fundraising effort, broadcast Friday on various NBC networks, featured performances by Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Christina Aguilera and others.

The money will be administered by the American Red Cross.

NBC's Hurricane Katrina telethon raised $40 million in 2005.
