Joss Whedon's "Much Ado About Nothing" adaptation finally has a release date.
The writer-director-producer's modern take on Shakespeare's comedic play, which is centered on two very different couples, will bow on June 7, 2013, according to a press release.
The black and white flick, starring Amy Acker and Alexis Denisof as "the world's least likely lovers," was filmed in just 12 days.
The cast will look familiar to Whedon fans. Like Acker and Denisof, who both appeared on "Angel," Whedon alums including Reed Diamond, Nathan Fillion and Clark Gregg also star.
"Much Ado About Nothing" is the first feature from Whedon and wife Kai Cole's micro-studio, Bellwether Pictures.
