Lincoln Exhibit

  • You can learn more about Abraham Lincoln during an exhibit at the Jacksonville Public Library. The exhibit called “Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War” will be on display at the main library on the third floor through Feb. 17. Florida’s Fallen Heroes Quilt Exhibit

  •  Honoring Florida’s Fallen Heroes during a special exhibit at MOSH. A collection of nine quilts are on hand. Every quilt has 30 blocks, each containing the name of a fallen service member from Florida who lost their life while serving in Iraq or Afghanistan. The exhibit will be on display until July 22,2012

"A Closer Walk with Patsy Cline"

  •  The Alhambra Theatre presents “A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline” through February 26. The show features Gail Bliss in her final performance as Patsy Cline. The show documents Cline’s career from the time she was 14 years old to her untimely death. For more information on show times and tickets, go to http://alhambrajax.com.

Youth Leadership Accepting Applications

  • The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce 2013’s class of Youth Leadership St Johns is accepting applications from high school sophomores. The program seeks to deepen students understanding of what makes the country’s most important industries, services and organizations. If you live in St Johns County and interested in applying, visit www.sjcchamber.com/vlsj. Applications will be accepted until February 24.

Fans Vote For Alhambra’s summer show

  • Now you can have a say on which show the Alhambra Theatre will show this summer. Now through March 1, the community is invited to cast their ballot for one of three shows: “The Wizard of Oz,” “Once Upon A Mattress,” or “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Deamcoat.” The wining show will be announced on March 2. To vote, go to http://alhambrajax.com. or come to the theatre on Beach Boulevard.  The summer show will run June 6 to July 22.

“Over The Tavern”

  • The Hippodrome Theatre will present “Over the Tavern” beginning February 24 through March 18. “Over the Tavern is a comedy about a spunky kid, two mischevious brothers, a twinkie-hoarding sister, a weary mother, an overbearing father and a dash of drama. It stars Paxton Sanchez as a kid who attends Catholic school and lives in an apartment over a tavern run by his father. The show opens to the public on February 24 with 8 shows a week. Popeye’s Fundraiser for MDA

  • Popeyes restaurants in South Florida and across the Southeast will provide customers with discounts during the Appetite for a Cure campaign. Through March 18, associates will sell coupon cards worth $30 for only $1. Proceeds from this event go directly to local families affected by muscular dystrophy. In addition, children with Muscular Dystrophy attend a summer camp.
