Downtown Jacksonville’s galleries and museums will be open on Wednesday for First Wednesday Art Walk.

This month’s theme is Pet Walk.

You can enjoy rock and reggae sounds of “Garrett on Acoustic” at Hemming Plaza. Florida Theatre will host the 7th annual Pet Walk with pet-themed art, pet health information and pet adoptions. You can stop by the Pet Shot Wellness Clinic for full-service checks. The Jacksonville Landing will host “Yappy Hour,” a happy hour for pets and their owners plus a pet expo. Other shops and museums will also be conducting pet-related activities.

The art walk begins at 5 p.m. and it is free. There will be free street parking after 6 p.m.
