Haunt Nights

Adventure Landing’s Haunt Nights makes a comeback this year and there are two new additions. New this year, Apocalyptia 3D is the only 3D attraction in Jacksonville and Dark Fables turns your worst nightmares when you step into the evil shadows of Dark Fables. Haunt Nights runs through October 21. Tickets start at $11.99 and can be purchased at www.hauntnights.com/tickets.html.  Haunt Night is not intended for anyone under the age of 12.

Ghosts and Zombies

Ripley’s Attractions in St. Augustine will host a variety of activities this Halloween. Zombieville is an interactive paintball experience. Doors open every Friday and Saturday night this month beginning at 7:30 p.m. Prices at the door is $10 or $15 for the Zombie Express leaving from Ripley’s. Tickets are on sale at Ripley’s or at the door.  Your kids can participate on Trick or Treat Ghost Train on Wednesday, October 31. It will begin at 6 p.m. and it will cost $7 per adult, costumed children are free, others $4 for ages 6-11. Families who jump on board will drive through town listening to ghost stories and spooky music. The Ghost Train Adventure will kick off on Halloween as well. It will leave at 7:15 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 9:15 p.m. and 9:45 p.m. Attendees can participate in interactive paranormal investigation. It will begin at Ripley’s then leave for three locations. All guests will receive free use of K-2 EMF meters, digital or phone cameras suggested. Tickets are $26 for adults, $13 for children ages 6-11. Reservations are required. Haunted Forest Halloween Party

Get ready for a roaring good time at the Catty Shack Wildlife Sanctuary Haunted Forest Halloween party: A Spooky Cattacular Event. Come dressed in your costume and tour the Catty Shack on October 19-21. There will be candy, games, guess the weight of the pumpkin and more. Catty Shack Ranch is located at 1860 Starrat Road. Spooktacular

The Jacksonville Zoo turns into a frightening place but just for Halloween only. Spooktacular features a pumpkin patch, a fairground with bounce houses, the enchanted forest, candy stations throughout the zoo and much more.  Spooktacular kicks off Friday, October 19th beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Admission is $8 for members, non-members $10. Halloween at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park

Halloween will be celebrated on October 26 and 27th at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. There will be a haunted house, trick or treating, golf cart parade, Monster Bash, and all sorts of fun for children and adults. Big Engine Band will perform on Saturday night. The Honky Tonk Hitmen Band will kick off the weekend on Friday with a concert. There will be a Monster Bash Party on Saturday beginning at 6 p.m. Kids are welcome to wear costumes and there will be a costume contest for ages 10 and under.  Alligator Farm Trick-Or Treating

The St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park invites trick-or treaters to the zoo for its annual Creatures of the Night event. It is an evening of Halloween fun and special evening alligator feeding beginning Friday, October 26.  Gates will open for admission is from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. with the alligators feeding at 7:15 p.m.

 Hallo-Wee Party

Adventure Landing will be hosting Hallo-Wee party on Saturday, October 27. It will begin at 10 a.m. It will feature crafts, games, face painting, and a costume contest. For more information , go to www.adventurelanding.com.

Halloween Murder-Mystery

Alhambra Theatre wants to help you get into the Halloween Spirit. The theatre will host an interactive evening of fun on Halloween night. Chef DeJuan will create a special Halloween-themed dinner. Door open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person. This show is for anyone over the age of 18. Costumes are encouraged and there will be a contest. For reservations, call 904-641-1212.

 Mall Trick or Treat Hours

The Avenues and Orange Park Malls will host Halloween events. The Avenues will host their event on Halloween from 5-7 p.m. in center court. The mall will offer trick-or-treating as well as games, crafts, and giveaways. Orange Park Mall will offer safe trick-or-treating from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. There will be engaging interactive events. There is no cost to attend, but mask are only allowed on kids 12 and under, no toy weapons, no hoods allowed, and costumes should only be worn during event hours.

Halloween "Dunk or Treat"
The Jacksonville Giants are inviting local families to the 2nd annual Halloween Dunk-or-Treat with the Legends Community Center. This event will take place on Halloween night begin at 6 p.m. It is free and open to the public. Activities include trick-or-treat stands, players appearances for autographs, game stands and a mystery treat. For more information on this event, go to www.jacksonvillegiants.com

Halloween Safety Bash

The City of Lake City is sponsoring the 2012 Halloween Safety Bash. The event will begin at 6 p.m. on Halloween. It till be held in the parking next to the Public Safety Building at the corner of Northwest Main Boulevard and Northwest Madison Avenue. Organizers say there will be food, fun, games, and candy. Admission is free.
