A Brush with Nature
The Jacksonville Arboretum & Gardens will host its annual plein air painting invitational called “A Brush with Nature.” Thirty eight renowned regional artists will paint in the arboretum’s outdoor settings. You can watch the artists work, explore the trails within the park, see artists “demonstrations”, enjoy live music and food. This event begins Thursday and ends on Saturday. The on-site event, including the Artists’ Catalog is free to the public. Tickets are required for the gala on Saturday. You can purchase tickets at the Wells Fargo Bank Building downtown.

Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra
The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Florida Masterworks series will present Le Mer beginning Friday. It will be held at the Robert E. Jacoby Symphony Hall at the Times Union Center for the Performing Arts. Tickets can be purchased online at www.jaxsymphony.org or call 904-354-5547. Tickets begins at $25. The performance runs through Saturday. The symphony has partnered with Orchestra Feeding America 2012 national food drive. Patrons are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation. As you thank you, donors will receive a voucher for 2 half-price tickets for an upcoming Jacksonville symphony concert this season.

Spring Arts Festival
The Community Presbyterian Church will host its second annual CPC Spring Arts Festival on Saturday. It will be held at the church beginning at 10 a.m. The church is located at 150 Sherry Drive in Atlantic Beach. There will be food, kids’ activities, arts and crafts and plenty of fun. Proceeds from this event will go toward send the youth to camps and conferences.
Walk the Talk, Walk for Epilepsy
The Epilepsy Foundation of Florida will host the ninth annual Walk the Talk, Walk for Epilepsy. It will be held Saturday at Memorial Park beginning at 9 a.m. To register, call 904-731-3752 or go to www.epilepsyfla.org.
MDA Muscle Walk
The 2012 MDA Muscle Walk will take on Saturday. More than 300 walkers will participate in the annual MDA walk at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. Registration begins at 9 a.m., the walk begins at 10 a.m. To register, go to www.musclewalkmda.org/Jacksonville2012. Participants are asked to arrive at least 30 minutes before the walk start time.
Paws in the Sand
The Flagler College’s Society of Advancement of Management will help out the St. Augustine Humane Society during a dog walk-a-thon. It will be held Saturday. The event will be held at Butler Beach Park East on State Road A1A. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the walk-a-thon begins at 10 a.m. and will last until 1 p.m. The fundraiser will include a one mile walk on the beach and demonstrations by the St. Johns County K-9 officers. The cost to register a dog is $15. Donations will benefit the programs at the Humane Society.
Kidgits Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
The Simon Kidgits Club will host a Kidgits Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Saturday. It will be held in the food court at the Orange Park Mall. Registration begins at 8 a.m. and breakfast will be served from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Kids can create their own Easter drum set and there will be an Easter egg hunt. Motorcycle Rally for Community
On Saturday, Dad’s 4 Life will host its second annual Motorcycle Ride in, Showcase and Live Auction. It will be held at the Chick-fil-a at Roosevelt Square on Roosevelt Boulevard. Organizers say this event is a way to bring the community together. It will begin at 4 p.m. and last until 7 p.m. It is open to the public. Ride With Me for Autism
The Jessica Green Foundation will present the Ride With Me Autism Ride on Saturday. This charity bicycling event will be held at Camp Milton Historic Preserve beginning at 6:30 a.m. This event raises money for the Jessica Green Foundation. Walk to Defeat ALS
More than 1,000 people are expected to gather at Seven Bridges on the Southside on Saturday for the Walk to Defeat ALS. The walk will begin at 10 a.m. All interested walkers should call 888-257-1717 or register at www.walktodefeatALS.org.
DeeDee Bridgewater

Tour de Pain Extreme

Domestic Violence Awareness Walk
Hubbard House will host its 3rd annual Setting the Pace for Peace Domestic Violence Awareness Walk on Saturday. It will be held at the Ed Austin Regional Park beginning at 9 a.m. Registration begins one hour earlier. This event is fun, but organizers want to remind everyone this event also raises awareness about domestic violence. The money raised goes towards ending abuse in our community. Blooms Galore and More Plant Sale

Southside Spring Festival
St. Vincent’s Southside Spring Festival will be held Saturday at the former St. Luke’s Hospital. Bring your families for free family-fun activities, such as Easter Egg hunts, face painting, photos with the Easter bunny and rides. It will begin at 11 a.m. and last until 3 p.m.
Old Town Art and Craft Show
You can see the latest in fine art and fine craft during the Old Town Art and Craft show. It will be held at Francis Field in St. Augustine beginning Saturday. Hours are from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The show runs through Sunday.
Let’s Move Together
You can take part in the Arthritis walk on Saturday beginning at 9 a.m. at Metro Park. Participants can learn more about the walk at www.2012awjacksonville.kintera.org.
Breakfast with the Easter Bunny
Enjoy a pancake breakfast with the Easter Bunny and help a local cause on Saturday. The breakfast will be served at Applebee’s on State Road 312 beginning at 8:30 a.m. It is $7 per person and $5 per Easter Bunny Photo. To reserve a spot, call 307-6930. Proceeds benefit the American Cancer Society’s relay for Life.
