Full lineup for Jacksonville Jazz Festival released

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The annual Jacksonville Jazz Festival comes to town May 21-24, and Wednesday, the full list of performers has finally been released.

Aside from some of the best names in jazz, several local favorites will also be performing during the festival.

Though great jazz is the biggest part of the free event, there are also a host of other activities to keep people having fun including Art in the Heart Marketplace, the Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition, Youth Jazz Talent Showcase, the Off Jazz Concert, Jazz Clinic and Jazz After Dark.

The full lineup includes:

Soul Rebels, Tito Puente Jr. Orchestra, Felix Peikli & the Royal Flush Quintet presented by the Buffet Group, Roman Street, Kellylee Evans, Spyro Gyra, Maceo Parker, Postmodern Jukebox, Jazz Attack featuring Peter White, Richard Elliot and Euge Groove, Michael Franks, The Jacksonville Symphony Orchestra with Peabo Bryson, Andy Snitzer, Ignacio Berroa, Noel Freidline Quintet and Lisa McClendon.

Local groups:

Elisha Parris, Mama Blue, Linda Cole and Josh Bowlus, Eric Carter & Company and the John Lumpkin Trio will play at the official Jazz Brunch at the Omni. Joy Dennis will serve as opening act for the Off Jazz Concert at the Florida Theater.
