SMG Jacksonville, which manages the Arena, said many of last year's events brought in crowds from outside the state of Florida, helping to boost the local economy.

“We are thrilled, year after year, to provide the greater Jacksonville community with an expansive portfolio of entertainment options," said SMG Jacksonville General Manager Bill McConnell. "These offerings are enticing to regional visitors, who stay the weekend in local hotels and eat in the city’s fine restaurants.  It is our mission to continue making a name for Jacksonville as the go-to city for sports, culture and entertainment.”

Arena events in 2016 include the USA Curling National Championship finals, SEC Women's Basketball Tournament, Justin Bieber Purpose World Tour, Jeff Dunham Perfectly Unbalanced International Tour, Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire.
