'Win with words' offers Jaguars tickets to students of challenged high schools

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Students at Andrew Jackson, Jean Ribault, William Raines and Schools for the Future can win Jaguars tickets by writing an essay about why they want to pursue a career in the communications field.

Essays must be at least 1,500 words, typewritten and double-spaced and "put your passion into words" about a career in broadcasting, journalism, advertising or public relations.

All essays must be submitted by 3 p.m. October 18 to either the school's principal or by email to Carla Jones at cjones@hester-group.com

Hester Group will judged on content, grammar and creativity, and one winner from each school will receiveu two tickets each to a Jaguars home game.

Company President Hester Taylor Clark hopes the contest will not only inspire students to consider a career in the field of communications, but also emphasize the importance of good writing skills.

"The contest is designed to spark a level of creativity in the students, and demonstrate that strong writing skills can be a catalyst to success," Clark said.

Hester Group is a woman-owned small business with locations in Jacksonville, Orlando and Alexandria, Virginia. The company specializes in strategic communications and program management.
