ET confirms from a police rep that SANDRA BULLOCK was involved in a car accident last night at 9:50 p.m. in Gloucester, MA. The actress and husband JESSE JAMES were being driven to their hotel when another car came swerving toward them, an observer said, and the vehicles collided at approximately 15-20 miles per hour.

The 64-year-old woman who hit Bullock's car was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and failing to stay within a marked lane, a police rep tells ET, adding that the woman was later released but faces an arraignment on Tuesday morning. No one involved in the accident was hurt.
