For the fourth year in a row, Channel 4 is partnering with Wolfson Children's Hospital for its "One To Grow On" campaign.

Last year, the region's only children's hospital served more than 50,000 kids, and each January the non-for-profit holds a fundraising campaign that includes a Keep Kids Alive 5K run, a 55-mile ultra marathon and relay, and a one-day telethon.

All day Tuesday, WJXT will feature inspiring stories of patients helped by Wolfson, and a phone bank will be staffed from 6 a.m. through 11:30 p.m. taking pledges from viewers. The One To Grow On campaign is a culmination of a months-long celebration of the patients who receive life-saving and life-changing care at Wolfson, which provides the full range of pediatric care and includes centers of distinction in cancer, congenital heart disease, neurosciences, neonatology, orthopaedics and behavioral health, and many other services.

Over the four years, the campaign has raised more than $1.6 million toward life-saving medical technology that includes a 3 Tesla MRI being used in the newly opened J. Wayne and Delores Barr Weaver Tower.

On Saturday, February 9, the 55-mile, 5- and 1-mile runs will begin and end at the Jacksonville Landing.  In addition to "The Ultras" -- which includes Channel 4 meteorologist Richard Nunn -- and kicks off at midnight -- teams of relay runners will accompany the Ultra Marathoners on every five-mile loop -- 11 loops in all.

Relay teams can register for $200 and can include five to 11 runners to run a combined 55 miles.

The Run 5 to Keep Kids Alive begins at 2 p.m. and cost is $20 per person to register. The Fun Run begins at 1:30 p.m., with $12 registration. Registration for all races is available at wolfson55.org. Registration for the 5 and 1-mile runs can be done on site.

The runs coincide with a Kids' Birthday Party for the 55 kids honored by "One to Grow On" and their families, along with their caregivers and the ultra marathoners, as well as celebrity hosts with WJXT. The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will feature live music, fun activities for kids, a celebration of the children and more.
