HOUSTON, Texas - A new treatment for chronic pain is offering hope for former Houston Oiler Earl Campbell and to people living with macular disorders.
Campbell, who's had several back surgeries, is one of the latest high-profile people to be treated by a device called "Vecttor."
It was designed by a Houston pain physician.
Vecttor uses electrodes to help increase oxygen levels in the blood stream and improve circulation.
If it works, it could give Campbell a new lease on life.
Recently, the FDA approved Vecttor for the treatment of chronic pain but soon it will be tested out on patients with Muscular Dystrophy as part of a clinical trial in Houston.
