New Baptist Health pediatric tower on display

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Weeks before its scheduled opening, Channel 4 had the opportunity to take a sneak peek inside the new Baptist Health pediatric and adolescent patient tower.

The 11-story building was named in honor of former Jaguars owners Wayne and Dolores Weaver after they made a $10 million donation to the hospital.

The new tower features state-of-the-art operating suites, a new cancer treatment center, and more than 160 beds in larger, private patient rooms.

It also has a prime view of the downtown skyline.

The J. Wayne and Dolores Barr Weaver Tower is set to open to everyone and be in full use by Dec. 8.
