Preparing for the winter cold season

What's Going Around week of December 12, 2016

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – While you're out shopping for the holiday, make sure you're also stocking up your medicine cabinet.

Doctors say our local care spots have been packed and busy for the third week in a row.

Starting in Duval County, the staff there says they've been pulling overtime and staying past closing hours. Most of their patients have the flu, strep throat, and laryngitis. More injuries have also been reported this week as people are trying to get their last minute Christmas decorations up.

In Clay County at the CareSpot in Middleburg, it's all about sinus infections and strep throat.

In St. Johns County at the Healing Arts Urgent Care in St. Augustine, they're dealing with sinusitis, bronchitis, ear infections, and the flu.

In Nassau County at the CareSpot in Yulee, the doctors say it's been viral infections- mainly strep throat, upper respiratory and sinus infections that have many people out sick.
