Family leaves rude receipt for waitress and her 'gay lifestyle'

Waitress received no tip along with the offensive message

BRIDGEWATER, N.J. – Dayna Morales was just a waitress trying to do her job. It wasn't until the end of a meal she was serving a family did she her job become a cause.

Morales, a former Marine who works at a restaurant in Bridgewater, N.J., posted a picture of a receipt that contained an offensive note from a family that didn't approve of her "gay lifestyle."

According to Morales, when she introduced herself to a couple with two children, the mother seemed surprised by Morales' short hair.

"Oh I though you were gonna say your name is Dan." Morales wrote about the woman's response. "You sure surprised us!"

When the meal was complete, the family left no tip and a message on the receipt that read, "I'm sorry but I cannot tip because I don't agree with your lifestyle & how you life your life."

Morales posted the receipt on the "Have a Gay Day" Facebook page where she received immediate support. So far, the post with the picture has garnered almost 6,000 likes.
