Bacon honey hoecakes
4 Cups Self-Rising Cornmeal
4 Tablespoons Sugar
2.5 Cups Whole Milk
1/2 Cup Vegetable Oil
1/2 Cup Bacon and bacon fat drippings
Mix all ingredients together until smooth. Cook on well-greased hot griddle. Drizzle lightly with honey.
Fried Green Tomatoes
4 Green Tomatoes cut in ¼ inch rings
1 cups of milk
2 cups Self-rising Flour
2 cups Panko bread Crumbs
Salt and Pepper
Season Tomatoes on both sides, with salt and pepper. Place four in a shallow pan and season with Paprika, salt and pepper. In another shallow pan season bread crumbs with Paprika, salt and pepper. In a third shallow pan beat together milk and eggs and season with salt and pepper. Dredge Tomatoes in flour, egg wash and then panko crumbs.
