A section of Interstate 4 in Orlando was closed for several hours after a crash involving a tractor-trailer caused its load of sweet potatoes to spill, according to police. Some fuel also spilled as a result of the crash.
The two-vehicle crash happened around 3:30 a.m. on I-4 westbound at Anderson Street, just south of State Road 408. After several hours, two westbound lanes reopened.
The driver of the semi was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries. The other driver was not injured.
The big rig spilled its load of sweet potatoes in the road and across the median. A light pole was also knocked down in the crash.
