JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

A local Korean restaurant that prides itself in authenticity was shut down for two days last week after inspectors found roaches in the ceiling, the floor and on shelves near the rice cooker.

Bryan Stewart, owner of Hon Korean Restaurant on Beach Boulevard, says his restaurant was getting exterminated once a month.  But last week, inspectors found live roaches in the restaurant.

Inspectors closed him down for one day, but Stewart made the choice to shut down a second day.  He told Channel 4's Melanie Lawson he asked for an extra day to exterminate and clean.

Stewart says he wants his customers to know, "We apologize that this had to happen and we don't want them to be afraid."
