Plane crashes into home; woman escapes

Three people were killed when a small plane crashed into a Palm Coast house Friday afternoon while trying to make an emergency landing at the Flagler County Airport, the Florida Highway Patrol reported.

The Flagler County Sheriff's Office reports that the plane hit a Palm Coast home just east of the Flagler County Airport around 2:20 p.m., several minutes after the pilot's distress call.
