3 killed when big rig hit SUV

Three people were killed Sunday afternoon when a tractor-trailer struck an SUV on U.S. Highway 17 in Putnam County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said an SUV pulled onto U.S. 17 from a Shell gas station driveway off of Palemetto Bluff Road about 1:40 p.m. and into the path of the semi.
