Tarik. 3 3 3 00-05Bundled carefully in cellophane, and pressed tightly into blocks, are 25 kilograms of cocaine worth 7 and a half million dollars. Drug agents say the cocaine was intended for somewhere along the coast of Florida, until it ended up in the ocean, washing ashore in Crescent Beach.10:49:03"there is a drug dealer of some level who is very unhappy to some level at this time, he's lost really a great deal of value in the cocaine."Chuck Mulligan with the St. Johns County Sheriff 's Office says a turtle patrol employee stumbled upon the cocaine on the beach. Drug agents suspect it originated somewhere in South America, they removed the kilos from their original packaging for a specific reason.10:49:33"there are some key indicators as to why we changed the packaging today, the original package that surrounded the kilos has given us some indicators of where it's from but certainly we're not able to talk about that at this point in time while our investigators trace this information backwards."The cocaine may never have washed ashore, it wasn't for the low pressure system, that kicked up the waves, and dropped several inches of rain over the weekend.Investigators say the cocaine wasn't in the water for a long time, leading them to believe, it may have been close to reaching it's destination.10:49:14"We'v e certainly seen kilos come to shore in past years, an these kilos were in the water for some time, some covered in barnacles and deteriorated, but in this particular case, it was relatively uncut and didn't appear to be in water uncut." 3 So Tarik, do investigators have any theories as to HOW all that cocaine wound up in the water?
