1 dead, 2 hurt at S. Fla. Super Bowl party shooting
Three family members shot during watch party in Miami Gardens
Police say one man died and two others were wounded in a shooting outside a Super Bowl party in Miami Gardens.
Reports from witnesses indicate up to 30 shots rang out as suspects drove by and opened fire on a group of people standing outside a home late Sunday.
Police say a large crowd had gathered for a neighborhood party near the intersection of NW 204th Street and 23rd Avenue to watch the Super Bowl. They say the dead man was a 25-year-old father of two. There was no word on the identities of him, or the other two shooting victims, but WPLG-TV learned the man killed was in his 20s and the other two victims were his father and brother.
"We had multiple shots fired at the victims," said Miami Gardens Captain Ralph Suarez. "We don't know exactly what was happening or if they were the intended victims or not."
Further details were not immediately available.
