JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – One person was killed and another has serious injuries after an early morning crash Saturday near Jacksonville University, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office.
It happened just before 1 a.m. At the 3800 block of University Boulevard North.

JSO said a compact car was going North on University when it veered into the Southbound lane, crashing into a Jeep.
The driver of the compact car was found deceased on the scene.
The driver of the Jeep was transported to UF Health Jacksonville with serious injuries.
Traffic Homicide is investigating.
