ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -

St. Johns County Fire Rescue responded to a single-car crash in St. Augustine that killed one persona and injured three others.

Public Information Officer Matthew Sara said four people were inside the car when it rolled over on Interstate 95 near State Road 16.

One person was pronounced dead on the scene. Three of the passengers were pinned inside the vehicle and the jaws of life were used to extricate the patients.

Two of the survivors were taken to Flagler Hospital in serious condition. They were not able to be air lifted to Jacksonville trauma centers because of severe weather in the area.

The fourth person was also transported to Flagler Hospital in stable condition.

The Florida Highway Patrol said the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
