The Florida Highway Patrol says 22-year-old Joshua Lee Green of Middleburg was killed after the pickup truck he was riding in blew a tire on Interstate 95 in St. Johns County.

Green was riding in the truck bed, and was ejected into the tree line.  The driver, 22-year-old Eric Hofler, of Jacksonville, was in serious condition.

The driver, Eric Hofler, and two other passengers -- Garrett W. Thomas, 23, and 20-year-old Amanda Lee Gross -- were also hurt in the crash. 

The FHP says it is undetermined if alcohol was a factor in the crash and troopers continue to investigate the accident.
