Witnesses said while backing up, the flatbed tow truck from Lee's Wrecker Service driven by Tracy Woods, 52, penetrated the passenger window of an oncoming car that was driving southbound.

Dorothy Kamke, 92, of Ponte Vedra Beach, who was in the passenger seat of the car, was killed in the crash.

"It's sad at anytime, but especially at this time of year, it's really sad," said Ken Kennedy. "People a lot of times don't pay attention backing out and sometimes cars come by and you don't even see them."

Officers were interviewing Woods and witnesses to try to determine just how it happened. According to the crash report obtained on Monday, charges are pending.
