JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -

The Florida Highway Patrol was investigating a fatal crash on Jacksonville's Westside Sunday morning.

Four cars were involved in a crash on Chaffee Road Sunday morning, killing a 57-year-old Diana Robles and injuring several others, state troopers said.

They said 57-year-old Carolyn Taylor was driving south on Chaffee when her SUV crossed the center line into the northbound lane and sideswiped another car. That car went into a ditch.

Robles' car was heading north behind the second car and was on the left front by the SUV and went into the ditch.

A fourth car struck Robles' from behind and then was struck by the SUV.

Troopers said Taylor may have been under some type of medical distress at the time of the crash, but it remains under investigation and charges are pending. Taylor was taken to Orange Park Medical Center with serious injuries.

Robles was pronounced dead at the scene.

Several others involved in the crash suffered only minor injuries.

Florida Highway Patrol had a portion of Chaffee Road just south of Normandy Boulevard closed for about two hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
