CLAY COUNTY, Fla. -- A Clay County deputy's wife is in jail after allegedly leaving compact discs containing child pornography at her job, police said.
Kimberly Monson, 39, is charged with a felony count of possession of child pornography.
Police said Monson recently lost her job, and a co-worker called them after finding the five discs in her drawer.
According to the police report, investigators found "numerous pictures of what appeared to be a young, teenage, white female."
The police report goes on to state that Monson admitted the disks belonged to her. However, the report did not specify Monson's relationship to the teenager.
Monson told investigators the teenager was 15 at the time and that she found the pictures two years ago but did nothing to delete them or call the police.
Monson also told authorities she was going to have a friend delete the photographs, but then said she took them to work to shred them.
No bond has been issued for Monson. Her court date is scheduled for March 21.
