JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- Police are searching for a tenant they said rented a fully furnished Westside home and then took off with just about everything inside.
According to investigators, Patricia Jennings stole everything from the piano to the dishwasher and even a collection of Barbie dolls from the home she rented on Oaklane Drive.
"I was in shock," said Greg Klabunde, who lives near the home that was robbed. "More people are moving in here that are not so nice."
The outside of his neighbor's home was covered in trash on Tuesday, but according to police, there is nothing on the inside of the home.
"She found that the house was unsecured. All these belongings, pretty much everything in the house -- appliances and all -- had been taken," said Ed Dayo of the JSO.
According to police, Jennings rented the home from Angelo Faith. Faith went out of town for a few months and when he came back, police said his renter and all his stuff were gone.
"The computer was gone and things that belonged to his daughter. Family items were taken also. Collectible items were gone," Dayo said.
Police told Channel 4 that other people, including Jennings' boss, have claimed the woman stole from them.
"Everyone I talked to indicated to me she had ripped them off, also. Her boss she was working for -- she supposedly order Internet stuff and used his credit card to pay for the items. She terminated from that," Dayo said.
Klabunde said hearing that news makes him worry about the neighborhood in which he lives.
"It's a fairly nice neighborhood. I thought it was when I came here and I bought a house," Klabunde said.
Police warn homeowners not to rent to anyone they do not know and said that Jennings is known to have a drug problem and that she has been arrested several times in the past.
