Valdes Widow To File Civil Suit
Three Guards Acquitted Friday In Inmate's Death

The widow of a death row inmate who died in prison said Wednesday that justice was not served in the trial of her husband's suspected killers and that she will file a civil suit.Three prison guards were found not guilty last week for the murder of prisoner Frank Valdes.
"They murdered my husband again, that's what they did," Wanda Valdes (pictured, right) said.
Prosecutors said the guards stomped and beat Valdes to death to prevent him from talking to the media about inmate abuse.Wanda Valdes said she was shocked that the guards were acquitted and that she will file a civil lawsuit against them, the warden and the prison."I care and I'm not going to give up until I get justice," she said. "I want justice for inmates. I don't want to see this kind of small-town justice."Frank Valdes was on death row for killing a Palm Beach County prison guard in 1987.The three guards no longer work for the prison.
