FORT MYERS, Fla. -

Lee County deputies are searching for whoever stole about 150,000 baby clams from a clam nursery.

The News-Press reports that the clams were worth $1,500. They were stolen sometime between the night of Oct. 29 and the morning of Oct. 30.

The baby clams are each about the size of a pea. They don't go to market for another nine to 12 months.
